From time to time, NK Katharinenhof opens its door for visitors and friends of Arabian horses. These Open House Programmes include the presentation of its Arabians, sometimes combined with a seminar.

Official commitments & positions
Dr Hans-Joachim Nagel had a long commitment to the Arabian horse community, besides his very busy life as an international business man. For 22 years, in the 1980th and 90ies, he acted as the chairman of the VZAP (German Arabian Horse Society) and in this time, the establishment of the All-Nations Cup in Aachen took place. For 30 years as its chairman, he built up and took care of the high reputation which this international show is enjoying.
He was chosen as the Vice President of WAHO (World Arabian Horse Organisation) and later on he became its President. He gave up his obligation after 11 years of service and preferred, as an 80-year-old man, to look after his Arabian horses at his stud Katharinenhof in Germany.
Still today, he continues to bread a very fine type of Egyptian Arabians, which are know under the name ‘NK Arabians’. Dr. Nagel is a very scientific orientated person. He keeps close contact to certain institutes in order to remain up-to-date in equine affairs.
